Or.. in many cases VERY GOOD.

Venturia blew me away musically.. but vocal wise/vocal melody wise I was turned off... for the most part.

I have 2 tracks from Venturia, "medley" and "the new kingdom" and I got them from Usenet. I will more than likely buy the album.

There are spots in there that are just SICK.. stuff that makes me drool and slobber because its so fucking cool. Like at the 2:50 spot of New Kingdom. It's this blurby/flurby keyboard lick.

But as a whole, give me Soilwork cuz I can listen to them all day long... It's very tough for a band or a producer to make a 100% solid effort where the entire thing just kills.

I dont think I have ever heard a single disc that is 100% solid all the way through... if you know of one, let me know... I've not heard one.

BTW - The leads on both Ventuira tracks are sick to the T.... just REALLY amazing lead work.

...FYI I took a road trip to tahoe this weekend and my old drummer made me listen to Circus Maximus about 5 times. the band is growing on me.

Shit... I dunno. Tool's AEnima album? I dig Operation: Mindcrime a LOT.. that's always been a favorite album of mine, if not my all-time favorite... seriously.

Haha, I actually know the guyes personally....i'll tell'em hi from you all next time I
meet them at Rock-In... Truls the drummer, used to play bass in my band before
he decided to go 100% for drumming..They are a bunch of really cool guyes...
