Classics Reborn

Lol those are for sure the same two copies! :p

I'd like to ask them what their reasoning for having two copies was. The music bio section is not huge and apart from the obligatory Aussie artists which pretty much every book shop has here there are books about bands like Queen, Led Zep and The Beatles, solo artists like Prince, Taylor Swift etc, and they also have things like Ozzy's book and the Motorhead book. But to put two copies of a book from the guy who used to be in Judas Priest just seems odd especially when there is very few others with multiple copies.

Considering that when they were breaking Ozzy had a reputation for taking up and coming bands on tour with him you think they'd have learnt something. I see them as in a position to either take an up and coming band out and give them recognition or go the other way and go out with a band they grew up with, but instead they just seem to take whoever is topping the charts and is getting public attention. It's easy to say they don't want to take out a good band because they'd be upstaged but there has to be more to it than that.

Maybe someone had them order one and never showed up?

I think there could be more to as well. Bet then again part of me really thinks that's it. They can have any one they want and it's not going to cost them ticket sales. I think they don't wanna look as half assed as they are. Imagine if they had Flotsam open for them. They'd be put to shame musically.

The other thing too might be that if they take bands that aren't like them but have their own following there is a chance for them to break more fans. Sure the majority of people would be there to see Metallica not the support act alone but not all. I imagine touring with the likes of Slipnot introduced them to a selection of fans that knew who Metallica was but hadn't seen them before. They know they aren't going to get new fans from the thrash circuit so if their new fans come from kiddies that love Slipnot it's a good thing.

It's all because KK deserves to be there. Because KK deserves to what's coming to him.

One of the biggest problems I see with reading the article and not just the headline is how easily cracks appear in the full story when more words are used.

I went through infant school and stuff like that with Ian
By themselves those words sound fine. But in his own book he explains more than once that while he went through school with Ian they were not friends. They didn't dislike each other but they were in different grades and never hung out together. Although they knew each other and saw each other in clubs in their teen years they still weren't friends. It wasn't until the night KK saw Ian in the band van with Judas Priest painted on the outside of if that he and Ian really crossed paths and actually became friends.

That's funny because just those words " I went through infant school and stuff like that with Ian" makes it sound like they were best buds from toddlers on up.
This guy is such a dbag! " there were no rifts" " I thought I would get respect and get what I was entitled too" You fucking quit! eight years ago!. you're not entitled to shit.
If there's no rifts why doesn't HE take it upon himself to call them and ask instead of trying to get the fans on his side by talking shit all the time or letting his people talk to their people. They're probably all the same people anyway since he's still on the board.
If he was fine to be left alone and to leave them alone then what's the fucking problem?!! What respect is talking about?!

I totally agree, he wants it to sound like they were friends from child age, just like he wants people to think he was there at the band's inception.

I wouldn't mind betting he thinks the respect is lacking, but he's the reason for that. He hasn't treated them or the name with respect yet expects them to treat him with respect. It's a one sided street all the way with the guy.

He's definitely tainted the brand. And love them or hate them the JP name is synonymous with metal and hard rock, it's a name few people don't know, yet in the last twelve months he's turned it into shit because of his ridiculous attitude.

To be honest I can't see the anniversary happening without KK in it somewhere but for all the damage he's caused I don't think he deserves to be included.

Same here. And I suppose if that happens and they get along it may lead to him being back in. But I agree I don't think he deserves it. I also think his reasons for wanting back in are less than genuine.

I can't see him being invited back as anything more than a guest slot. Whether people like it or not Ritchie and Andy have settled into their roles. I suppose it's possible Andy can't fit in all or part of the anniversary tour due to his other jobs but to invite KK back full time would mean getting rid of one of those guys. Given they are talking about the next album I reckon KK's done his dash for more than an honourable mention and guest slot live, and whether he truly deserves that much is very debatable.

I can't figure out why he would want back in permanently.

Good to see Blabbermouth at it again. The headline offers a comment from Ritchie yet the majority of the article is quotes from ages ago by other people. Even one of the regular commentors fell for it and couldn't resist getting narky at a quote from yesteryear before having to admit he only scanned the article. As much as KK has dug his own grave it's easy to see that he wasn't the only one with a shovel when Blabber consider this reporting.

Well from what I remember he thinks if he comes back that Priest should end shortly after. I don't think he likes the idea of them continuing without him now that his golf course has failed. So fuck that.

Lol I'd almost rather read about those stupid doodles. I can't read any more of these comments by the KK supporters. "kiss and make up" like Priest did anything other than be gentlemen about this whole thing.
