More new stuff to the Flots set? That would be good.

It's almost funny to see how many bands now cop the "always the same set" comments now. There is good excuses for some tours but it's getting that way that when a band gets to their 20th anniversary people starting saying they never change the set list.

Yeah it does get crazy with all those comments.
My issue I guess is when bands like Testament and Flotsam who really have so many great songs and whole albums worth of stuff they don't play. Both those bands have said "we want to add as many new songs to the set as possible" but then they never move past the initial new songs. It makes me think they are lazy.
Testament went so far as t ask the fans for a setlist and never followed through

Yeah that is annoying. I suppose in an ideal world all concerts would go for two hours and we'd get to pick the setlist but when a band actually asks for input and they don't follow through it does kick the fans in the balls.

Yeah I would have completely buried in Testament, Flotsam,Metal Church, Megadeth, Exodus, Anthrax. Lol. Not much has changed!

Mortal Sin (and so many others) even had shit advertising here. There was street press (free papers) and independent radio stations but very few newspapers had metal advertising in it. It was the fault of the promoters who thought the only way to promote metal was word of mouth but the bands had little choice. I don't think Mortal Sin even got a taste of the overseas market until after Face Of Despair and their Oz tour with Metallica because so few overseas mags etc got our news. Once our mags and radio stations started to get included in the syndicate stations it opened a new world for them that promoters and agents didn't know existed.

Damn, for a second there I thought I was reading an interview with my brother
I have no real interest in either brother but I started to read the article for giggles and got about three paragraphs in before I gave up. This guy is a wanker.

A few months ago someone was going on and on about how great some solo of his from the 70's. And that the live version was the best. So I youtubed it. It sucked.

Cool that this is getting released. the funny thing is all this guys work is Beastie boys. But he's made a doc on thrash and claims to be a big Exodus fan. But then makes the comment that Exodus should be in the big 4...if you're gonna make a doc on thrash you should know that that's about record sales!! So annoying.
I still wanna see it though at least for the old footage.
