I listened to the first four Megadeth albums yesterday but because I was busy I don't remember hearing Peace Sells and that happens quite often to me. I sit down and listen to new albums all the way through but if I'm listening while I work I often forget the listen part!

Keeping track of the comeback bands would be a good idea. Keep track of what they are doing and how it compares. One day soon we might even be able to put Atrophy in such a thread New bands might be a long thread, there has been some good ones but there has also been some one hit wonders which have been disappointing.

The band we were all waiting for!!

He'll still be compared to Priest, he'll still have Diana C's nose wedged up his backside and he will still have the media hound him but it's better than his constant BS. I don't care what he does or if he releases new music chances are I wont be buying it but there is only one way to shut people up and that's prove them wrong. Honestly KK should have done this 3 years ago instead of all his crying. He quit JP, his role was filled, he should have started his own band where he was king and he made the rules, instead he cried like a baby and threw all his toys out of the playpen.

I've got new atrophy all the time! So lazy. I think we need both threads. I especially do. I need help keeping track AND weeding out the one hit wonders and not so great bands.

I suppose it's a good thing in a way because I remember back when I was a teenager and supposed to be doing homework I'd often forget the homework and find myself playing drums on the desk. These days I forget the music is on not what I'm doing

Agree completely. And yeah we all new this coming. I am a bit disgusted though that he named the band KK's Priest. I mean c'mon. I expect him to play a lot of JP songs. Well he stole the original band and the name Judas Priest and called it his own, so I'm not that surprised he stole the name again. From a brand recognition point I understand why he's done it, but yeah I agree it's like he's deliberating trying to me a 'me vs them' fight.

I agree with the Ripper thoughts too, but I reckon that's another deliberate move to bring him closer to JP. Ripper might only have done a few years with JP but with all his comments about JP wiping him from history he was the logical choice to front this band. The sceptic in me says this has been planned for a long time by PR dweebs. KK's been dredging shit up deliberately, making himself news and making people feel sorry for him. Ripper's been on his "JP deleted me" mantra and constantly saying he doesn't hate the band. Binks came back into the news in recent times, although not to the same negative shit Ripper and KK did. It has the hallmarks of a hyped up PR stunt to launch something that was not going to make the waves it has by itself. It's like The Voice, or UK's got Talent without the phone in competition.

I hope it fails too but unfortunately I can't see it happening. It wont ever be as huge as KK's mind thinks it should be but I'm sure they will tour it and kick the hell out of the horse until it's dead. Then when it dies it will because JP didn't allow them to be successful.

Will be interesting to see what the 50 year JP tour does now. KK obviously wasn't going to play all the gigs but if he's busy with Pretend Priest then he might not be able to play the gigs he's been harping on for 2 years.

He'll always have a place on stage at KK's Kauldron or whatever it's called
I imagine he'll be playing 3000 seat venues and he wont be selling them out. I don't care who he is or who is in the band they wont ever be as popular as JP is, no band that's formed from the fragments of another ever has been.

Because I thought PK's drums were lightyears ahead of what JP had before that.

Oh wow, I missed that too. Well that's settled, better tell JP not to worry about their celebrations, KK has it in hand.

Maybe when JP get into the RNR HOF KK can collect the award and thank himself for winning it.

Not sure about Binks, but you can guarantee that if he can't KK will come out saying "This is how the song was meant to be played but I got over ruled."

Haha, He tried to be diplomatic, because you know. He's always thought of a band as an equal democracy ( KK's Priest. Starring KK Downing ) so he lost and they got the drums THEY wanted.
