Classics Reborn

Yeah the news about Glen was not the best news, but the guy has been at it since 76, he's just finished what the band claim is one of their best albums and he's said he will turn up to some shows. There is still a lot of positive there but it just seems like so many people have taken the news and made the worst out of it when it need not be.

There is a good age difference in the band without KK because Faulkner is only about 38. But when you consider that they first started in '69 the age of the main players does come into context a bit more.

Yeah I didn't realize he had it for a decade, That's impressive he was able to keep going this long.

No one likes it when Mum and Dad fight but this just seems strange.

I'm not sure what "officially and legally a member of JP" actually means but he also clearly states that he retired. I'm not sure what retired means to others but in this country retired doesn't give you the right to just assume your old job when it becomes vacant, it also doesn't mean that the job gets offered to you first or in favour of others.

I can understand him wanting to come back, and many fans probably want him back but in many ways this comes off as sour grapes, especially when he mentions "one member" and "financial reasons". I'm not sure he was part of the recording or writing of this album, or whether that even makes a difference.

Man ,it really is too bad he had to go and put this out there. Sounds like full on sour grapes. Dude, you retired and basically said they weren't good live. Why would they think he'd want to come back? I don't think he's been a part of anything to do with this record or the last one?
I didn't see him put out a statement when Tipton said he couldn't really go on.
Really a pissy thing to do.

Most fans seem to think he couldn't replace Tipton anyway and they are probably right.

I just don't see what he thinks his point is. If he's still upset with Rob then maybe he needs to address that with Rob not some silly press release that addresses nothing.

It's kind of like that article with Chris Poland the other day, on the face of it it appears Chris just came out of the woodwork to piss on Dave a bit more, but I see today there is more of that same interview with Chris in which he talked about Nick Menza. So at least for Chris there was more to what he was saying than just the one headline the websites picked up. KK here seems like he's only got one headline.

Yeah this one seems pretty black and white. I just don't get it either. He could have called them and said his services were available instead of this really shitty statement. This certainly didn't help his case..whatever that is. I'm no expert on Priest but I've always thought that Tipton was the better of the two. Although that's not based on much lol I was shocked at the level headed responses by blabber. It started out the typical jump to conclusions shit but now it seems pretty much everyone thinks KK is being a dick.

If I was 70 years old, getting royalties and retired I think I'd be happy to sit at home and watch the band play, especially if the other option is to make a pissy statement to the press and look like a sad case that can;t let go of things.

The comments are still better than the Blabber article though. :)

It is getting that way that I click on certain articles on Blabber just for the comments.

There are a few that you can bet on will have stupid comments. Sebbie Bach and Skidrow, Megadeth, Stryper and Axl Rose will always cop it. Probably always the same people too but I don't take that much notice of who just the comments.
