Classics Reborn

2014 after a year and a bit battling a brain tumour. But he hadn't been in the band since his car accident in 1999 when the doctor told him if he kept performing he'd end up in a wheel chair. Seeing him in the last few years between his on going back injuries and his brain tumour was like watching a family member die.
God those couple years were really bad for tumors! Chuck Billy, Chuck Schuldiner, James Murphy too. Fuck cancer!

Yeah and the way they effect people are so vastly different. Some have hope, others have none, it's a hell of a game of lottery.

Not their best, but a damn fine track!

I guess it really does come down to the catalogue they have to choose from. But 38 years is a long time not to play a song which people do know. Given it was on Killing Machine it appears they played it for about 2 years and that was it.

I don't know that one. What album?

Non album single in 1980 and it was on the Aussie release of Killers in '81 and then re-released in 1990 as a part of the First Ten Years box set.
Its a cover of a song by an Aussie band named Skyhooks. No idea why they did it but there was rumours that Stratton and the producer who had also done AC/DC tampered with the masters which were heavier because they wanted a hit single. There was also some controversy around the cover art because like the single Sanctuary that depicted Maggie Thatcher on the ground after Eddie killed her, Women in Uniform depicted her about to attack Eddie. It's almost a before and after but in the wrong order.

FYI: Skyhooks were a brilliant theatrical act and their music was mostly brilliant but they weren't the sort of band too many metal heads liked.

Wow Slammed, I knew it was a cover but I never really researched who the original band was thanks I’ll check them out!

I grew up with Skyhooks they are an acquired taste but their Living In The '70's album is brilliant. Some of their songs have very questionable lyrics especially the song Smut
