It never fails to amuse me when someone starts a topic vaguely asking for black metal bands, cos it gives people a chance to spew unecessarily long and obscure lists of band names to cement their trooness. I just find it rather funny.

Anyway, a 'cold' album I love which is also really epic is Enslaved's "FROST". But it's not really a hateful sound to me, it's just a harsh, glorious piece of music.

And I find it rather funny that you automatically assume they name those bands to seem "troo" (in your elementary vocabulary). Here's a thought: maybe that individual actually enjoys those bands!

It is also one of the most brilliant albums ever crafted. It's right up there with 'Obscura' and 'Elvenefris' if you ask me.
