Collective questions for Mr. Sneap -thread

ahjteam, just an FYI, in the first post you have Andy's answer for tom tuning backwards. Reso is tuned slightly higher than batter...

"On toms its usually a tiny bit higher on the resonant head, kick I'll just try as low as possible before the drummer moans about it and snare is dependent on the snare."

I'm quite enjoying the tomato and mozzarella ciabatta and the french onion soup combo at Panera Bread (aptly renamed Pantera bread - the heaviest bread in the world)
ha.. just ate there yesterday... one of my fave lunch spots actually. i'm doing the Asiago Roast Beef and French Onion Soup combo lately... that french onion soup is BOMB!

I think someone Skimmed over this Briefly, But

Overheads.....
- Which Mic's do you use / Large Diaphragm vs Small?
- XY vs Spaced Pair?
- At what freq do you roll off?

Thanks Andy, Much appreciated

Im favouring KM184s
Spaced, 1 per every 2 cymbals
roll off from about 500 down.
Always mic the china sep too.

And cheers for the reverb info also Andy!

What amp did you use for the cleans in the beginning of Sell My Heart For Stones aswell? They sound fucking incredible.

Also, any tips for vocal processing for that pro sound? I can edit shit to hell and back so it's tight down to the syllable, but it's the sound that I can't seem to nail. Do you low pass at all?

Does your 5150 have an adjustable bias, if so do you bias Hot? Or is the stock 5150 sound the one you like?

You have mentioned a single "57 on the right spot" and a touch of EQ. Do you use any plugs like "saturation" or anything else on the Guitar tracks typically (more often than not)?

Thanks.

I owe you many beers now or whatever that Mud is that you guys drink.
