After I gave this one a thought, I'll give it a +1. Because if the band has a reservation for 3 weeks and you have a flu for two weeks from that time, you still have to work right?

Sennheiser e901 + DIY subkick and some slight processing (which is pretty equivalent to the Andy beta91 + Yamaha subkick): http://www.ahjteam.com/upload/2008/kicktest-02.wav
Individual tracks (samples 1 and 4): http://www.ahjteam.com/upload/2008/kicktest-01.wav
Thanks for all your answers Andy...we missed you and all your informations
Do you still work with megadeth right now or do you have new works to do?
About Exodus: Did you only track in their reharseal (and mixed at your place) or did you do everything there?
Finally: Do you live in the same farm where you have the studio? Do you own it?![]()
Really big +1 on the reverb question :danceboy: P.S I was overjoyed to find your farm the other day Andy, i've got some friends who live up the road in Crich and they pointed me on lol!![]()
Hey Andy what I'd love to know is: What albums do you use as a reference when you're mixing?
Peace

it's beta52 on the megadeath bass rig pics not a 91. 91 is a black pzm and looks totally different.
(sorry for correcting)
Might be pushing my luck with another question, but anyway.........
Do you ever EQ or HP/LP a Guitar DI before sending out to the amp?
Thanks.
Thanks again mr. Sneap, but i have more questions again, sorry...
There's any kind of sound that you think we can't get with digital recording???
In your opinion, which was your last big step to become the engineer you are???
Do you use sidechain compression??? Where?
what's your favorite sandwich? I'm partial to pastrami.
How do you deal with cold, flu, ear infections and such when you're in rush?
This thread is out of control...haha
I took the digi eleven plugin with no speaker selected and sent it into the power amp of a 5150 and into a cab, amazing how close it sounded to a 5150.
Thats a good question actually. I've never filtered but I did have to use a de esser on a DI because I was getting a horrible scratchy 3k and it just kept it under control. I tried something interesting the otherday to, I took the digi eleven plugin with no speaker selected and sent it into the power amp of a 5150 and into a cab, amazing how close it sounded to a 5150.
+1Thanks a lot for the useful info, Andy!
Although I haven't written out a question myself, I've really learned a lot from just reading this thread.
I'm still thinking on something to ask, BTW!![]()

Well Derby is a hot spot for spooky stuff actually! One of the biggest!
is that Derek Acorah, the scouse twat of all twats in your pic by the way?
