Computer crashed again, ordered an iMac lol.

Welcome to the dark side! I made the switch in 2009 and haven't looked back.

And what comes to "not knowing how to use a PC"... Trust me, ten years ago you couldn't find a more horrible geek than me without a lot of effort. I've gone through it all, dozens of Linux setups, a couple of BSD setups, even fiddled around with BeOS and OS/2 for a while, SysOp'ing a dial-up BBS (PCBoard for the win!), modding and hacking pretty much anything I could get my hands on (both software and hardware) and so on and so on. I'm kinda surprised I turned out even somewhat normal. Maybe switching to the Mac camp was one of the factors... ;)

That's what I was thinking... I know my stuff right about computers, but still don't want to deal with them, just use them as a tool. I really don't care about the technical part, as soon as my workflow is steady.

To a computer lover, it can be actually fun to repair stuff, but for me it is literally wasting time and money, delaying projects and all that stuff.

So yeah, I love Windows 7, I was really comfortable on it, but I got enough tech repairs in more than 12 years...

Cheers!!

(insert new member disregarded statement here, haha)

as long as the computer is studio dedicated, there isnt gonna be a problem with either mac or pc, but if you browse websites and use it for other random shit, both can easily crash. i had to terminal it up on my guitarist's mac because he got a virus. yes, a mac got a virus. With me being poor as hell, ive gone with windows forever, but have emulated mac and linux and shit. only real reason i would consider buying a mac is that it generally comes out of the box without 3rd part bloatware, making it able to be molded anyway you want and not having a bunch of background processes running, oh, and logic is pretty sick. But a clean install of Win7 can work just as fine. it all comes down to preference, almost the same way how religion comes down to faith
