Controversial opinions on metal

Also, upon further listening to Virgin Steele, HB is a total tasteless whale for preferring their hair metal songs.

I cant stress how good the marriage and atreus albums are. Invictus as well, but slighty less so. I do like visions of eden, but defeis went overboard with the ridiculous lilith fairytale in the lyrics, and he pulled some ridiculous stuff out of his ass for black light bacchanalia.

Black Sabbath and Judas Priest aren't metal? I must of lost my ability to read correctly (well almost correctly)

Halford is the Metal-God. So you might have to think about Judas Priest not being a metal band alittle more. I occasionally listen to Priest,Sabbath, and Maiden and like them all just as much as each other. All three are very different bands.

Really glad one of the 'old schoolers' agrees with me that Somewhere in Time is Maiden's best. Although, after seeing most of Seventh Son performed live by Maiden, that is quickly moving to the top.

What is the worst Lamb of God song to you?

I'm not sure I can nail down one song but take a song like Laid to Rest, I mean it's ok for what it is (especially for 16 year old kids discovering metal and developing their taste) but it's about as generic as it can get. New American Gospel was raw, powerful and interesting and imho they never captured its intensity and creativity again.

Come on, Victory is Mine and Cry for Pompeii are so much better than their long Manowar-wannabe songs.

You're still being annoying, especially in regard to cry for pompeii. Can you imagine motley crue releasing that? clue.. it's not fucking hair metal and it's a case for my point not yours.

The fact that cry for pompeii is better than either of these ACTUAL HAIR METAL SONGS, is a case for my point. Their hair metal wasn't that great and their more straight up traditional and epic songs are better.
