I'd end up killing off Steve Harris and throwing in Victor Wooten, he's so awesome.

First one = :worship:

Last one do you mean Martin Lopez? Mendez plays bass...

Actually Greg Howe's latest album with him, Victor Wooten on bass and Dennis Chambers on drums is pretty much a Funk / Fusion dream team...

oops....yep, Lopez...my bad.

I'm quite familar with Extraction...great fucking album (one of my favorites) but I don't think there was as much of a connection between the 3 of them as there could have been. probably largely due to how it was recorded, but nevertheless...I kind of had a bit of a happy medium between Planet X and Extraction in mind when I thought of that line up

Well you all forgot to make some band names... Here's my lineup and my band name:

**JASON RULLO - drums
**STU HAMM - bass
**MIKAEL AKERFELDT - acoustic guitar/vocals
**DAVE BEEGLE - lead acoustic guitar (http://www.davebeegle.com/)
**JORDAN RUDESS - keys

Band name: Aura Evolv

As an acoustic prog band, this would be a one album side project and they would play a brief tour called Aura Evolv: the Quest for Infinity.
