Curious about Evergrey

I have the Limited edition one as well and I love it. I just bought it on Friday at a music store so I am not sure why other record stores don't have it.
The only other CD I have is Solitude Dominance Tragedy, but someone made me a copy of it so I don't have the lyrics. I would really like the lyrics to: The Shocking Truth. There is one part that I can't understand what he's saying and I would like to know. Does anyone know where I could get lyrics to that song?

Just a tip , all lyrics are in the actual album's booklet...

Heh, I am with Tom on this one. I do not see why someone would ask for lyrics, because than it is quite obvious that they do not own the album... Oh well, that is the trouble with downloading nowadays. Myself, I do not use any sharing software and I never will. I would rather go out and buy the album than download something and have nothing really. When I go out and buy an album, I have the album, the booklet, the music, etc. With a download you have another MP3 ...pretty lame. Ahh well, everyone is different and a lot of people expect something for nothing nowadays.

You're welcome Carrie.

[rant]I do support the idea of listening to the music properly and reading the lyrics (I'm pretty big on lyrics anyway so I sometimes might not listen to the cd if I don't have them...I didn't find the Nightrage a very mind-lifting experience without them, and with them even less so) and so forth before buying the stuff, especially with new bands.
Obviously she isn't one of the people who just download everything,so I don't really see the whole point of being a smartass with one-liners.

Oakenson I think you're being a bit too dramatic there. She's buying the albums so I don't see anything to be complaining about...downloading music before buying it is just todays reality.
I would be in tremendous pain if I couldn't listen to all the stuff that I can't buy for the simple fact that there's other things to use money on other than music too. Then again,I wouldn't know half of these bands, including Evergrey,if it wasn't for the net.

I'm just annoyed with all this stuff. I asked for the lyrics of Recreation Day earlier this year and I got exactly the same kind of "witty" comments, people thinking that Evergrey is the only band in the world and that I have the money to buy all the cd's that I want to. Of course I'd buy all these albums if I just had the fucking money and set cd's as my only priority.

I need sleep.

Well, I have the lyrics to Recreation Day, because I bought the album. Solitude Dominance Tragedy was burned for me because I had never heard of Evergrey and someone wanted me to listen, therefore I don't have the lyrics. I clearly stated that when I posted that I wanted the lyrics. Simple as that. I have loved every song that I have heard so far and plan to buy the other 2 albums also. I don't expect something for nothing by any means. I work in a music store where that album can no longer be ordered except if I were to go online, but I had not even heard them at that point, so someone was nice enough to give it to me.

Why does it seem I am one of the last people that feel illegal music sharing is bad ... ? I have never liked it and I never will.

A lot of people use money as an excuse to download. I do not have a job and I hardly have any money for CD's (I get $30 every two weeks). The way I do get CD's is usually through trade.

I hear infinite excuses why it is "okay" to download. The bottom line, in my opinion, is that downloading is illegal and it is certainly not a good thing. Majority of people do not even support the artists they download. Of course, some people do download than buy an album, but I still do not agree with this. If I want to hear an artist, I will go to their website and hope there are sound files avaliable.

Nonetheless, these are just my opinions and this is a battle that can go on forever. I am certainly outnumbered so it is not worth any more effort.

It's one thing to post your opinion, it's another to be a smart ass about it. I probably will buy the album that was burned for me, just because I haven't found another band that draws me in the way that Evergrey does, and because I want to have it, in addition to the other CD's that I need of theirs. I did not do it to save money or anything like that. I had just never heard of them before and someone said I should and burned me a copy. I don't normally listen to this type of music, but now that I have, I am glad I did. I didn't mean to offend anyone or anything. I just wanted the lyrics and I seemed to get a lot of rude responses for asking for them.

Just so you know, the first time I ever heard Evergrey was exactly one week ago today so the fact that I have bought one album already, checked out their website, joined the forum and showed an interest in wanting to know more about the band shows that I do support them regardless of whether or not one of the albums I have is burned!

I think mp3s and CD copies are tools that are sorely abused, but they still can have a positive effect on sales and on spreading the word in general.

Every so often, I send a friend of mine out in Tulsa copies of CDs I think she'll like, and she almost always says "this is awesome!" and orders legit copies for herself. I know she's bought Recreation Day onaccounta me. I've bought a bunch of stuff based on mp3s I've downloaded - including Evergrey. I don't ever download/copy to evade costs or to screw anybody over; if I like a band based on the mp3s I hear, I'll buy them eventually. If I think they suck, then I've been saved the cost of a nice shiny coaster.

YMMV. *shrug*

It appears you are taking my comments and opinions personal. I did not mean them personal to anyone, although it is not my fault how someone reacts to my statements. Like I said, I did not direct anything to anyone personally, but they wish to take it that way, there is nothing I can do.
