Are there any good programs for doing this? Someone mentioned wavelabs... Any others. I use reaper, and it doesn't get very detailed. I mean, I know I could obviously use reaper, but I don't know if there is something that I won't be doing/using that will affect the outcome of my samples. :goggly:

I ALWAYS have my old school Peter Quistgard Cool Edit 2.0 ready for slicing samples. When you start really zooming in, it locks on to the points so you can get right up on it. Even the oldest of DAWs come in handy sometimes.

I hate it that Reaper does not have an editor. I am not using an external editor now because I am not sure what to use, so I just shorten my audio samples until I get rid of the part I don't need.

A quick question about actually cutting the samples. What is the optimum amount of space from the start of the region to the transient? 10ms or so? Or maybe as long as they are the same amount for each sample if you are importing into drumagog. What do you guys think?
