Gonna roll up a character now. I think I'll reincarnate Kull, my half-orc barbarian.
I have created UMKull. In an act of extreme homosexuality, the half-orcs and half-elves, as well as all evil alignments, have been excised from the game, or at least aren't playable. But other than that, seems like D&D.
EDIT: Wow, so I just played through the tutorial and it seemed like it had nothing to do with D&D at all...

An MMO computer game is different from a pen and paper RPG, this is new and exciting.
I expected it would at least have fairly methodical combat, like a multiplayer NWN.
Anyhow, yeah, I was playing on the first server, the one that starts with a K. Post your character names and we can meet up and do a quest of some sort. 9ish tomorrow?

caecius: barbarian
waif: barbarian
ideally we'd have a rogue, fighter, offensive spellcaster, and cleric. If need be I'll switch to a cleric. But anyone else joining should pick a class that complements the party.
And yeah, we should play through those quests again for whoever's joining.

I could switch to Paladin.
EDIT: I'm having problems running the program. After playing for a few minutes the moniter goes black and basically crashes having to restart the computer. I have a pretty good graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 9600) and have tried running it on all four settings (high performance, performance, quality, high quality). I re-installed the game and also end all the processes so only explorer is running in the background. Any ideas? Is there a patch?

No idea. I'm running windows 7 on a high-end system and have had no trouble at all aside from some lagging.
Paladin...I dunno. Barbarian covers melee and a cleric would cover turning undead. What we really need, I think, is defensive magic. But couldn't hurt to have one.

Unfortunately, I cannot spare the disk space for this game. I've played AD&D through chat and email, but that always brings up trust issues and accusations of fudging dice rolls. There are a few html and flash applications that help with these issues, but it sounds to me like no one is interested in playing D&D the good old fashioned hard way.
I created a Cleric. I'm still having a lot of problems with the black screen of death. I have searched the forums and tried numerous things but doesn't help. Maybe later I will uninstall again and try something different.
I completed about 7 quests. After I complete a quest it usually crashes.
