Prob because they are not journalists, nor are they supposed to be held to journalistic standards - that is why they are different.

The fact that they fact check news outlets and blast everyone's lies on air is only the sweet part. The fact that they don't change or alter the truth for comedy is also an incredibly sad/hilarious thing.

They still cover news and push a particular agenda. While I find them amusing, to call them unbiased or "truthy" is ridiculous.

The closest to unbiased news you'll find is your local news. They report actual events, without regard for a particular political agenda (for the most part). I mean, try and tie the "liberal media conspiracy" to Antoine Dodson. Just try.

Sure, but Stewart and Colbert are just as biased. I prefer to think of my views as cynical as opposed to biased. I am to the point where I think basically everyone in major media is lying.
