Dark Funeral

What the fuck. They aren't grind.
I wasn't interested enough to go into detail.

They generally are trebly grindcore. Forget that though, just realise that Dark Funeral make monotonous, blasting, over-the-top music that's about as epic as a can of beans.

Ok, well the general consensus seems to be that they are boring, monotonous, repetitive, etc.

Thanks for clearing that up!

I don't even like the logo much though myself, I just think it's a bit crap. The same old boring inverted crosses, old english style text in capital letters and....oh wow! A pentagram with a baphomet head inside!

Basically sums up what their music sounds like apparently.

Yes, because I obviously couldn't have worked it out for myself.

Two biggest norsecore bands - Marduk and Dark Funeral.
Monotonous/irritating - Not mentioned in PE's FAQ.
Black Metal ideology - Like I said, blatantly obvious
Trebly grindcore - Ditto.

Oh please, I remember a time not so long ago when you didn't care about elitism. In fact, I remember him blatantly calling you a fag at one point. It's funny to see people change from the effects of others through this board.

Why does anybody change? Because of their environment, of course. I'm 15 and thirsty for knowledge, I study things, I change as I learn. I'm not sure what your point is. Whether or not people like Falconsbane may take credit for making me more of an 'elitist' is a seperate topic. I maintain that my opinion of Dark Funeral is my own opinion, nobody else's, and that just because two people may state something similar about a band doesn't automatically mean that one is cloning the other.

It seems no one likes the repetativeness of Dark Funeral... I wonder what people would do if they DID change their sound over the next few years... then they would be called sellouts heh heh. But no one can deny Magus Caligula's awesome scream though

I like Dark Funeral. Like somone said before, the drums are awesome. Their new album is really cool too, great stuff!

Fair enough, and it is a very good FAQ.

They try too hard.

That's how I'd describe them. I don't hate them, but they get boring pretty fast, and I think one of the best words to describe them is cliche. It's like they try really hard to fit the black metal stereotype.

They know how to use image to sell copies, when they dont have a hell of alot of talent. I love their use of the Berman's The Seventh Seal as an opener to their website.
