Dark, heavy, and catchy metalcore

Yeah, I listened to them just now in preparation for the Summer Slaughter tour and thought they were excellent. All the best elements of deathcore blended with pure death metal.

Funny you should ask this. I was just listening to:

Blindside - A Though Crushed My Mind

Swedish band. I guess they mostly fall under metalcore/hardcore, but they are much more musical. Great songs. They have harsh and cleam vocals, but the clean are not emo at all. I can't recommend any of their other albums. As for heaviness, they are not even close to deathcore. May not be exactly what you were asking for, but this album is genius IMO.

I assume everyone is pretty much familiar with Despised Icon at this point. But, in case you're not, Despised Icon. Go for The Healing Process.

and in that vein, Heaven Shall Burn, although they are more melo-death-y nowadays

edit: and now I see that both of these have already been suggested, so consider this a second-ing of both

7 Angels 7 Plagues - Jhazmyne's Lullaby

This pre-dates most metalcore and is pretty fucking original at that.

Ion Dissonance - Minus the Herd (or Despised Icon: Part II)

[Edit - Fuck! I forgot you wanted digital production. None of the bands below have digital production but are instead raw as hell! They're all good though.]

The Huguenots - Discography (Very much like Botch and Converge.)
Fight Amp - Hungry for Nothing (Fight Amp is kind of a melting pot, really.)
Perth Express - Discography
Heaven Shall Burn - Asunder (I like their early stuff, personally.)

Also, while not exactly metalcore, I feel I should recommend Coliseum (US) and Cursed (Can.). They're both good punk bands that metalheads can dig.

A few other good ones are Burning Skies, Starkweather and Car Bomb. Car Bomb's incredibly spastic and talented - everyone should check them out.
