Hey, I'm new here and I thought I'd start off by mentioning a noteworthy band, that I'm sure any Opeth fan could easily get into. Dark Suns play a very similar style of metal as Opeth, and I havent seen them discussed on this board before.
Check them out, you wont be dissapointed.

They're okay, but their singer sounds really awful sometimes. They need to get rid of him and get somebody who can actually carry a tune.
