all three of these bands basicaly suck now., i like Dark Tranquillity the most out of those three..arch enemy isn't that great now either i like their older shit.

i'm a huge kalmah fan though, they fucking kill

You are brainless. Even if I agree with IF and Soilwork.
If you pulled your head out of your ass you might see the light that is Dark Tranquillity.
But in a way it's good that you don't like them, moronic fans are the last thing the band needs.

A vacuum cleaner sucks the most.

Not my style, so thanks for writing that for me...I'd say the exact stuff

@DeFy - Anyways, could you explain why people have this huge urge to post and write crap about a band they don't like on their official forum? It never really made sense to me... I mean, you don't like the band, as I get it... well, off you go then to Kalmah forum or whatever..

okay
if this should be some kind of comparison between the "triumvirat" of the best melodic death metalbands from sweden than these 3 are AT THE GATES, IN FLAMES and DARK TRANQUILLITY and not soilwork
and if DT suck less than soilwork or IF so its your problem

I would like to read why the starter of this thread thinks that Soilwork has somehow gone bad. I can understand why those feelings with DT and IF, since they clearly changed their style over the years, but Soilwork?
[let it be told that
1.the writor of this post has only heard StD; FN5; NBC and few "old demosongs", which were a bonus on FN5.
2. i am not a fan of the band.]

@naku: i doubt our vivacious friend will ever find his tongue again. but i do think soilwork have gone bad, too. and i mean since fnf: i like nbc, while fnf and std only have a couple of good songs each, in my opinion. the reason is simple: as with in flames, the mixture of aggression and melody that used to be melodeath changed into something much cheaper: the mixture of 2 repetitive guitar riffs and pseudo-harsh vocals, more or less directly taken from your basic nu-metal record. it's not intolerable, but it's a cliched product without much originality, that pleases a certain crowd and takes no chances at developing new ideas. the same goes for in flames, except their songs at times actually grate on my nerves. dark tranquillity, although definitely not as innovative as five years ago, maintain solid individuality, higher complexity, perfect mastery of the music and lyrics.

SoilWork - Never listened to any of their songs :D
In Flames - WTF! Melodic Death History... but their actual nu-metal style sucks hard..
Dark Tranquillity - WTF! Melodic Death History... and their actual style RULEZ!
Arch Enemy - Don't think we can even talk about music there.... :S

what's so bad about Arch Enemy? ok none of their songs is really outstanding or so. but they have some cool songs such as bury me an angel, fields of desolation, beast of man, tears of the dead, diva satanica, bridge of destiny, the immortal, dead inside, angelclaw and some other songs with the new singer (the woman, who is pretty cool).

I love these 3 bands, Sweden kick ass, Arch Enemy is also killer, with Liiva and Angela!!!

I'm looking forward to this reunion of At The gates, would be fuckin' insane if they return definitively(it's hard, but...)...!!!!

okay traveler in time
I just come back from my THE GREAT DECEIVER-gig the new band of tomas lindberg as you knwo.I talked with him a little bit and asked the obvious AT THE GATES-question: whats about the rumours of an reunion?

tompa told me that he also hearded about these things but he doesnt know if they are true(hey he must know it better than me or everybody else) so there isnt so much in this direction as the poeple think :yell:
