:err: WTF? Where's the love for Sonar in your "poll?"

I honestly forgot Sonar and SawStudio. My apologies to users of those platforms. However, I am not aware of any pro studios or artists using either platform, so I am biased in that regard.

I've been a PT user for a long time but DP looks better all the time.
Now here's my question:
how many of you Nuendo users actually paid for it?

Fraid not :erk:

I'm pretty sure I'd upgrade to a podxt before worrying too much about it though :)

had logic, sold it, got nuendo...somewhere, pro tools love it. James has always liked his DP eh eh!!
yeah, totally, and the 4.6 update adds Melodyne-like pitch correction which is great... but soon i'll be switching to Pro Tools HD for most things... picking it up for my new studio. But, since DP works with the HD hardware, i'll likely still use DP a lot as a front end.

what about your portable rig?

...that's funny that so many of you got nuendo from "somewhere", must be a great store

the portable rig will remain DP based for the foreseeable future. i really only use the mobile rig for tracking and it does fine for that. moving sessions to PT from DP is a breeze so it's no problem to bring sesions back and mix at the studio.

I guess my question is wrong...I'm not familiar with laptop recording...Don't you have some sort of PCMCIA card with like a firewire outlet on it or something?

All Mac laptops have built-in Firewire.

yeah.. like Kazrog says, no need for that with a mac Powerbook.. already built in. my 17" model has one FW400 and one FW800 right between the USB 2.0 and ethernet connectors on the right side.
