Nice story DE. Too bad you couldn't get into them live. I hate it when I listen to a band on CD or on the radio and I totally dig them but for some reason live just does nothing for me.
That happened to me once last year. There was a band from the 80's I totally loved and last year was the first time I had seen them live and I couldn't wait for it to be over. I was bummed.
I saw Opeth twice this tour and pretty much enjoyed it. (Well except for the strobe lights but thats another story). The first night I had to leave half way through Opeths set cause I had a long drive home and had to work the next day (I know I'm old and can't hang) and the other time I was able to see the whole show. Even though they were sick they did a great job. They had fun with the audience when they were yelling out different songs from different bands they wanted them to play.
