Death Magnetic release date

Yes Wyvern, and there is nothing like that delete button if an album stinks! :)

Indeed my dear, indeed. I weeded my HD some days ago, I was keeping all these albums I don't like or intend to buy and I ask to myself what for? So I deleted effectively all of them just keeping OOP material or material I'm still looking for on eBay or similar.

I see they're back to their old logo now. I don't think the new album will be good, but I'll give it a chance anyway.

I would be easier to expect a shitty album from Metallica if they'd done a GnR and just kept hetfield or something, but they've still got all but one. It just makes it harder to think there's no way they'll ever be good again :(

The best (read: only) way to approach things like this is go in with low expectations. That way is something sucks, no big deal. If you go in with high expectations of a CD or whatever, you're likely to be let down.

There is over 18 years since they released good album. And I don`t realy care is this album good or bad cos there are many better bands than Metallica.
But it would be nice if they still remember how to make good music.

Despite being a covers album, Garage Inc. was fantastic. Metallica is certainly one of the better cover bands out there. (Astronomy, Whiskey in the Jar and Am I Evil are good examples).

Ditto...and I thought the Mercyful Fate medley was phenomenal. They also did a GREAT job on Remember Tomorrow from the just released Maiden Heaven tribute.

Garage Inc. was released in Nov. '98.

I'll probably pick it up weather it sucks or not, just to complete my collection, I've got every single album up to this one, not that I ever listen to anythiing since the black album.
I'm not very anxious when it comes to their music and they probably dont deserve my money.

Try 20. Nobody what people say the last decent album was AJFA, and frankly I doubt like you say they have the spark to come wirth something good. SO like PM74 said I keep may expectations really low, if they pull thorugh, well then congratulations and the customer wins.

Brandon this time we are going to disagree, they have certainly good covers on "Garage Inc" but 'Astronomy' and 'Whiskey In The Jar' aren't among them precisely. I love the originals and those covers didn't did much for me.

because...

What? Did you actually read the post about the rules of the forum? It starting to bothering me those telegram answers.

I don't like the cover, but I don't like any symbols of death.
The idea itself is maybe not bad and it would be interesting to know
the intention behind it.
Anyway, they are a topic of conversation everywhere
and that sells sometimes more than the music.

I dont think it matters. Its an okay cover, I think the band have always gone for quite simple covers.
Besides, I think that CFH and VDoP by pantera are crap covers, but the music is quite simply beast as fuck.

Also, look at Cannibal Corpses covers. Early CC : Awesome covers, awesome music. Latter CC : Crap covers, crap music :zombie:

Cover word count ..... 7. Damn, I said that word too much.

I would argue that No Remorse cover was just as good as old Cannibal Corpse covers.
