Death Magnetic release date

Operation Mindcrime
Painkiller
Ride the Lightning (for my money it was at least as good and had a better production).
Raining Blood
Appetite for Destruction

...For starters.

I will say no on Queensryche and GNR, no way sorry. "Reign In Blood" is a much more aggressive album and raw, so no competition with MOP which is more polished and definitively better played (mostly anyone play better than Slayer anyway). "Painkiller" is superior and I'm partial to RTL so I can't be objective there.

Well those are great albums and some are amongst my favs but honestly I wouldn't consider any of them better than MoP. MoP takes all that is good about RTL, chops off what was bad (which is virtually nothing) and takes it up one notch. Reign in Blood is very close but lacks the epic and dynamic quality of MoP. Appetite is awesome also but not quite as good. As great as Painkiller is its not even the best Priest album. I'd go with Sad Wings but even that one doesn't touch MoP. I honestly can't think of a better album than MoP. It's not my fav and I never listen to it anymore but it's still flawless.

Hell Awaits > Kill 'Em All > Ride The Lightning > Master Of Puppets, though I occasionally prefer MoP to RtL.

You can never be objective 100% when talking about one album being better then the other. someone will allways argue with the other

Quite obvious but true.

@ Winter: such a relief :p

You are right about it being obvious yet no one ever stops to think about it before a argument happends about whos better then who :)

we aint got nothin to loose

Only money if you purchase and end being a piece of shit.

That's what downloads were invented for: you download, you listen, you may or may not buy, that's what an intelligent metalhead does.

Yes Wyvern, and there is nothing like that delete button if an album stinks! :)
