Does anybody know of any death metal bands that don't use guitar solo's?

I'm a fan of Ouroboros. The guitar work is fantastic. I don't know if they employ prominent guitar solo work. Their signature song "Sanctuary" opens up with a lengthy guitar tapping sequence. Do you consider that a solo?

that's a good question..i don't recall any bands that doesn't have solos!only one band comes to mind is early Napalm death maybe..those 30 sec songs?

My Dying Bride has excellent guitar work and very few solos. They purposely pace their rhythms down to a funeral dirge, with sporadic lapses into frenetic passages. Often, the drums are the lead instrument, especially in the older stuff, dominated by Rick Miah.

Hamish, one of the co-guitarists, has degrees in music and says, "knowing the rules helps me know how to break them".

Most people consider them a Doom band, but NOBODY does Death vocals better than Aaron, especially in the early stuff.
