If my son killed a man at age 14 then he better damn well expect to meet his maker. This is a bullshit ruling.

I'm totally there with you Greg. I love my son and daughter, but if they EVER go out and kill someone in COLD BLood just to do it, you will not see me rush to their side and defend them. THat would absolutely disgust me.

Self-defense is another matter, but most of these kids getting off the death penalty are pure cold-blooded killers who don't deserve much of anything. You know by the time you are 10 or 11 most of what's right and wrong--hell you know by the time you're 6.

Lots of kids make mistakes, but intentional murder is not a mistake.

No offense, DD, I think it was basically to keep the country united and keep the states together. I think they wanted powers they didn't deserve to have.

It sucks the CIvil War had to happen, but I for one am very happy it did. Can you imagine if the U.S. had split up into little mini-countries or if it went north and south. We'd be so much weaker than we are.

I usually get called an ignorant racist whenever I say that the Civil War really wasn't about slavery.

And technically the U.S. IS made of two nations. My g/f is from Texas and she won't stop reminding me that they are technically a nation unto themselves...

Thanx. And yeah she's all about pride for Texas b/c they won the territories back from Mexico when they stole the territory from Mexico in the first place.

And don't get her started on Mexicans. Damn, she's latino but her family came from Spain to Texas in the late 1880's and she is one Mexican hatin' muthafucka. Just b/c she can't stand how the women are treated by the men in their culture and how most here in the states try to be ganksta aka cholas.

It might hurt the US but it would sure as hell hurt texas. and the civil war wasn't about slavery and thats pretty much accepted by all the historians. it was about money.
as for the death penalty i agree that a 17 year old should be held accountable. but when you get into the preteen to like 14 or 15 ages then for me the line begins to blur.

I see people like that on Mexican Soaps. Just as white as me and you. One of Spanish teachers in high school was from Northern Spain. She looked Irish and she had monster cans.

In SoCal the Mexican cultrue is diverse - not all cholas(I dated one), not all church goers etc.

i hate that shit. it makes me ashamed of my state when i see texans getting that high and mighty attitude. Texas would be nothing without the rest of the country. people here think texas is so badass because we drive SUVs and eat slabs of meat bigger than my head.
it's pretty funny my favorite steak joint is texas roadhouse. they have a steak you can get thats a 6 oz sirloin with two sides for 7.99 and it is the best fucking cut of meat i have ever had at any resteraunt. check em out if you have one in your area. so it's like either pay 15 bucks and get the same amount after you cut out all the gristle and fat. or 8 bucks and get a badass cut of meat.
