Deathcore music

Lamb of God is not AT ALL deathcore. IMO, they are beyond classification, but if you had to put them somewhere, they toe the line between metalcore and groove metal quite nicely. Not unlike Byzantine did on their last record. R.I.P. Byzantine - great fucking band.

Anyway, back on-topic, I've started getting into some deathcore. A lot of the newer deathcore bands are really impressing me. Suicide Silence, Winds of Plague, Impending Doom, Salt the Wound, With Blood Comes Cleansing, and A Different Breed of Killer are a few that have grown on me quickly.

I mostly dislike the vocals. A lot of deathcore vocalists sound like they are about to destroy their voices completely, and as a metal vocalist with proper technique, I can testify to their "abilities" as something that will be short lived and painfully lost.

yeah... the thing about deathcore i think is .... you have to LISTEN to it for a bit before it stops sounding like just one noise... that how i used to be... but now ive been listening to bands like The Boy Will Drown, The Oxford Street Montage, Elysia and all that good shit for over a year and i cant get enough of it. people listen to it and tell me to turn it off, but really, they just need to hear it more than once....and about the whole metal heads hating the word "core"... i just wonder if they actually know that the only thing that core means is that it has a breakdowns... and i think anyone whos ever seen some of the "best brutal breakdowns" videos on youtube, would agree with me that they kick ass... breakdowns are raw power and emotion. and they make deathcore and metalcore exactly what they are. so to all you people who are sitting there listening to sword metal check this out, and i know youll agree

The 2009 releases from Rose Funeral(The Resting Sonata), Underneath The Gun(Forfeit Misfortunes), & Becoming The Archetype(Dichotomy) are fucking awesome...
