Deliverance/Damnation theme and meaning

(I'm hoping that this thread won't cause unpleasentness for anyone). I know that Mikael said that he was planning on having a concept, but it didn't work out. I was wondering what people got out of their own experience with the albums. I kind of got the sense that Deliverance is about a killer, and Damnation is about the victim. I don't know if that was because of the music, as well as the lyrics. Anyway, what did you guys get out of it?

I haven't studied the lyrics enough to decide. Both are great albums though.

Hmm, iteresting idea... I haven't read through the lyrics as much as I have with Still Life and MAYH. Might have a look

I'll read them today and see, but I never look at metal lyrics, they're usually bad.

This idea was brought up before, I don't know by whom though.

Didn't Mikael say that the two weren't connected and that the lyrics don't really have any connection with each other as he was in a hurry to get the albums finished and didn't have time to make it all fit together??
Have to say, considering English is Mikaels SECOND language, his lyrics are really brilliant.
