Deliverence ending

Bahhh... I like the riff, it's challenging on drums not hard on guitar but it just slays even on record. The repetition just makes it awesome(although it does get a little boring after awhile). Besides, it's an interesting rhythm with one chord. Now exactly which few bands can make one chord sound so good? Only a few, Opeth being one of them.

You don't have to be a musician to figure out its one chord
*Sigh* Did you really think I was sugesting that you needed to be a musican to know that its a one cord song? I was sugesting that a lot of muscians (typically those who play more technical music) seem to have an attitude twards less technical stuff...

Booooo to some of you. It IS an awesome ending even though it's very simple. People who write music would appreciate this part of the song, cos think about it... It's much harder to come up with a very simple thing that sounds cool, than to write "complicated" riffs.

Cerulean, will you tell my friend Steve what you just said? He thinks that music has to be complicated and technical for it to be good. While a lot of what he likes is good (Shawn Lane, Jason Becker, Uli Jon Roth, etc.), I tell him all the time that there is much more to it than that. Our biggest disagreement is with Jimmy Page. Steve says he's a fucking hack, I say he's a top 10 guitarist simply for the sheer number of memorable riffs he's come up with. As good as Yngwie is, does he have a riff that even touches "Whole Lotta Love"?
