What's your preferred method for delivery full sessions over the internet? FTP? Zipped? I normally just send a harddrive but online delivery may be in order. Your thoughts are appreciated.

If I can get the other side to figure it out....I use wavpack to compress the wav files. Then just zip it up.

Sometimes I will use flac. Cuts the size down considerably. Xrecode makes the process easy for windows. For mac I give them a script to run.

If i am just sending them to a member for tracking their parts or during the writing phase. Essentially where i am getting new tracks back to mix or whatever. I send MP3 stems and the MIDI file for the click.

Then they can just import a working mix and get to tracking, adjust levels to taste, and rock out. Daw independent and i have them send me wavs or wavpacked waves back from 0. Works great!

Oh and for server space. I have rented space for my site with enough. But i will also use Dropbox or Minus. With wavepack i have gotten whole albums on a DVD. With MP3 and some bussing you could be under a gig easy.

I highly recommend having some sort of web space though. Not only is it great promotion, but you have an easy place to drop mixes for clients, send sessions, etc.
