Yeah remastering an album is such a fucking crime fuck these bastards they're ruining the underground and shit.
You know I just don't see why I should trust some random record company appointed mastering engineer to do a better job 15 years after the album was initially recorded, as opposed to the guy who did it back when the album was actually recorded probably with advice from the band

That most albums that are mastered today sound worse than 20 year old records is another thing I won't even get into

And of course Demigod has nothing to do with this remastering job at all since it's talked about on their official website.

I like it because it usually means its easier for me to get a copy... and its cheaper and as long as the music doens't change....im happy

I'm so happy. I never thought i'd actually own the album.

I think remastering is cool even if the original does not have bad production. You're listening to different metal cds in your room having no idea how loud something might be at night.

I'll be listening to Carcass -necroticism remastered on volume 5, then the original altars of madness on 15, then Monstrosity 'millenium' on 20. I feel like I have to turn it up so fucking much just to hear it. On top I do not even know at this point if i'm disturbing a family member. What if it's louder than I think. When you have a good sized stereo set up you worry about these things at night. I wish everything could just be at one volume or atleast close. I do not even bother starting out the night with Metallica,Slayer cds because they're so loud compared to anything else.
