I was driving down to New Jersey to try and catch November's Doom's set. When I said this to the passenger, we found that it is instinct to say November Doom's set or November's Doomset. We dismissed this and forgot about it until the radio show about a week ago. Then, the head DJ of that affair started stumbling too.
Is this because we're all bookworms who need to drink more or is it really that hard to say it right?

Man, I've heard our name butchered a lot. People leave off the 'S' in Novembers, then there is the great apostrophe debate. Why don't we use it when it should be there? Simple. It didn't look good in the logo.

I guess our name can be a tounge twister at times, so in a way, yeah, i've realized it! haha

Chupe's English lesson for the day, December 29, 2003

a·pos·tro·phe
( P ) Pronunciation Key (uh-pah-struh-fee)
n.
The superscript sign ( ' ) used to indicate the omission of a letter or letters from a word, the possessive case, or the plurals of numbers, letters, and abbreviations.

The linguistically correct version of this phrase would be:
"November's Doom's set"

And from there, one could always replace each apostrophe with "of" and reverse the order, in the elder English sense.

Then we would have:

"The set of the Doom of November"

This is a little easier to say on AM radio and at Broadway musical after show parties, and it sidesteps the whole apostrophe debacle as well.

I find that hard to believe. How can someone screw up Novembers Doom, when there are many more bands with names much harder to pronounce.
