The support band Deathstars can be summed up in two words: crap and homoerotic.

Fuck, i'm not good at writing these reports. I'm hoping that fotmbm who I met at the gig will be able to fill in.
It started off badly with no sound for the guitars for the first couple of minutes of Black Horizons, but from then on there was no letting up on the assault. They played just about every song they could have played and did it really well considering the short time they would have had to rehearse.
Maha Kali came off really well, and even fotmbm will say it's a great song. It didn't sound as happy as on the sample. There is a cool but simple riff that you can't hear on the sample, that I am able to hum even now, after sleeping. The song has a nice solo by Jon and a quiet part where he talks or "prays" to Kali. There is a part with female chanting, probably in hindu. That part is repeated once.
The sound was actually really good. Perhaps the bassdrums could have been mixed lower and had a less "clicky" sound, but other than that I wouldn't have changed a thing.
Jon said it was the best crowd they had had ever, and I don't doubt him.
The stage had a cool backdrop with the reapers head from the "where dead angels lie" single. The head had batwings attached to it and the scythe beside it. Under that was the "anti-cosmic metal of death" banner. Too bad that all the tour dates on the back were wrong (wrong month).
Jon was on fire, he looked really happy and pleased to be out playing again and his playing was flawless as far as I could tell. The other guitarist (Set Teitan) was quite immobile and didn't play flawlessly, but I am sure he was a bit nervous. I couldn't really hear much of what the bassist (Brice LeClerq) was playing but he looked alright. The drummer (Tomas Asklund) played really well, never letting up as far as I could tell.
All in all, a night I will remember for a long time. It was also filmed with 2-3 cameras for a dvd.
