I´m really curious about that pedal, it looks ok, but you really get the Krank Revolution distortion from this toy??

i'm gonna try my best to try one out while i'm in america in the next few weeks, and possibly buy one, if i get one i'll do some samples when i get back home.

we saw it on musikmesse (didnt hear or test it though...). my friend took it in his hand to have a closer look, then turned it upside down and suddenly one of the knobs fell off LOL
no idea how it sounds though, sorry ...

Played through it into a Genz Benz combo in the store (on clean/flat of course.)

It kind of sounds like a Randall amp to me more than a Krank, it doesn't have the glassy tube tone of the Krank heads (duh) and it doesn't get very exciting tone in any way. It's definitely better sounding than a Metal Zone or a MXR Dime Distortion, if that's what market they're going for, than good job on them!

I went into the store with the intention of purchasing the pedal, and in the end I didn't. It was underwhelming overall. If you've got a POD XT for recording at all hours, you're better off. If you have a high gain tube amp and a tube screamer pedal for live gigging and re-amping, then you're better off as well. I just don't understand where the Krank pedal fits into my life... maybe if I was younger and only had a shitty practice amp or something, it would be OK.

I don't know if it can preamplify a guitar signal, maybe direct into a poweramp it couldn't work good.

You have to try, maybe it works maybe not.
I tried with my Marshall jack hammer into my 5150 poweramp, and it didn't worked well.
