Djent-heads; Full Song to Mix!!

Clark, very nice test!

I'm not very fond/familiarized with Match EQ, how do you particularly do it?
Of course it won't sound like Periphery on a 5 mins mix and a 2-day production
But its really cool to know that you can use this tool on your favor when
you need it, if you need it.

I got back on my pc which is got MMachine, i'd like to experiment with this Match eq thingy ^_^

and no feedback for me @shredder10
:( :( :( :( :( :( :(
i spend 2 days on it

:headbang:
Mash! Your mix is pretty nice and every things in place;
I could comment that the samples on this genre tend to be
a bit more Hefty and meaty, specifically the kick and snare.

But then again, it's a matter of taste ;) The samples you're using
here give me a sort of metal/death/thrash feeling or vibe, if you
want it to be a bit more modern they should be a bit more meaty
overall.

I have to agree, the bass guitar sounds like a pitch shifted guitar in the mix :D

I had a lot of trouble when the lead guitar comes in, a bit hard but this makes a good practice for a beginner like me. Overall, the song is so freaking awesome and fun to mix!!

Any comments on the drums btw?

I'll PM you.

:Spin: Clark, thanks a lot for the info!
I certainly wasn't aware of the Match EQ capabilities, its interesting and worth to experiment!

I remixed my version using the Periphery tone Match EQ and MMachine.
The previous versions i did had a smother character to them, this way it turned out more aggressive.

^ Isn't it a bit too bright/brittle?

I refreshed mine again, it's kind of weird somehow it 'makes' you balance the mix in a certain way.
On my first attempt with matching it was all too edgy and cutty, had to fix it again lol

Gave this a go, first time using SSD. What ya think?
