Do unlicensed bootlegs cost bands money?

I'm curiuous whether all the various bootleg audio and video recordings distributed on the internet cost Opeth, and any other bands for that matter, financially.

doubt it, i mean who actually d/l's bootlegs? people who haven't got any albums, or people who have all/most of a bands albums? quite obviously the people who have the albums.

i think the idea is that people have the audio/video and dont bother getting the albums, but that makes no sense, who'd rather have the live stuff than the proper sound quality of the proper albums. oh well.
