Has any one on this forum had any experience using the DOD Death Metal Pedal?

I’ve heard some pretty cool things about it and am thinking of getting one for curiosity purposes to use on my practice amp in my bedroom. So it’s just thoughts on people who have used it.

Cheers.

Yeah, no gain control = no go. I really like some of the Boss pedals, the MT-2 for example. You can shape the sound a lot with the parametric mid control.

is this the one that used to have the pain/crush/guts knobs??
if so, i had that piece of crap...i gave it away to one of my friends & he told me it blew his speaker out:lol:

they must have got a lot of shit for those knobs cause they took em off & renamed em to bass/mids/treble

Its better on bass(misfits covers) but I would still avoid it like the plague.

worst pedal i´ve ever tried, useless, crazy feedback, lots of noise, horrible distortion, well you can imagine

Actually, the Death Metal pedal may be hilariously awful, but the Grunge pedal is even worse. A friend of mine in the 90s had it because his mom got it for him, thinking that the music he listened to was grunge (Iron Maiden, Fear Factory, Pantera, etc.)

I prefer the Grunge to the DM pedal myself, less hiss and fizz, but still not very controllable, just bass and treble knobs...still don't use it really.

When I've used it I've had grunge setting all the way down and gain up far. NOT GOOD PEDALS.

if your going to get a distortion box for practice get the boss metal zone, if your planning on recording dont use a dist box borrow or buy an amp with good distortion.
