Does Norway produce any well known Metal bands other than Black Metal bands?

All of Ulver's metal material is black metal. Their other electronic music output is not that dissimilar from other Norwegian electronic outfits.

In the Woods started out as a black metal band.

Solefald are post black metal, very related to the scene. Their next album is supposed to be a return to more traditional black metal.

Enslaved are black / viking metal.

In the Woods is/was a great band. Very unique. I still have their underrated demo release. I suggest you get their first ablum "Heart of the Ages."

And the demo if you can find it...well worth getting!!

Two of my favorite bands are Norwegian! And neither have anything to do with Black Metal.
