nothing came up in the search function. lately I've been resorting to cab IR's because the pod farm cab doesn't seem to cut it.

I just didn't think he always used that patch though.. and I assumed he would use a cab impulse since those tend to be more 'real' sounding, at least in my opinion.

He's a magician and can make anything sound real.

Even Slate drums.

Just kidding. (But seriously...)

asking alexandria tracking i saw a cab on the pod chain, and i THINK i can hear treadplate on new of mice & men. he does say he has 'found something better' than 'the tact' that's all i've got :)

A good DI + New strings + decent guitar with decent Pickups + podfarm + fucking around with it to get a tone you like. Then a lot of EQ to get out annoying frequencies and you should get something very close to the Sturgis tone. Also remember that the guitars in the mix would sound very different by themselves then with the drums and bass. I don't think that many people realize that a low of the punch and low end of guitars in a mix is really the bass.

this is definitely true. however I was referring more to the ability of eliminating that 'digital' feeling that's often found in Pod Farm.
