the end few minutes of in death-is death by meshuggah give me that kind of feeling. other than that, sigur ros, quite a lotta radiohead (where i end and you begin is a good one for hypnosis) so much other stuff i can't think of now

Venus by Martin Grech. the whole song is gorgeous, the ending where he floats his own voice in harmony about in a churchlike setting is incredible.

aaand so on. There's a few other instrumental proggy bands amongst them, but yeah. Won't be naming them. Certainly takes a good band to get shit like that to happen though. Especially live, like when I saw Jakob I kept getting those shivers and whatnot.

Isis's 'Panopticon' really puts me into a mellow mood. Their music is so
relaxing and stirring... at the same time. Much like Face of Melinda.

I get that feeling from Carlos Santana. In my opinion he has the most passionate guitar playing that I have ever heard, but Akerfeldt is basically on the same level. Second solo in Windowpane for example.
