Recorded a fucking cool band this week. This is totally untouched apart from some flitering and dipping out some shit in the mud-zone. Limiter on the 2-bus is fucking with the snare.

Not sure how much this will actually get mixed because I'm loving the vibe as it is.

Where's the drone? :(
this is otherwise awesome though

haha I just thought I'd put loads of weird genres to attract your attention dude. Fucking cool band, IMO they really need a Scott Kelly-esque vocalist to bring the brutality.

I dig this a lot man. Who's the band (if you don't mind saying) - do they have any other material up?

They're really new. Just a few mates from around my area. They've got a really good view on music and I think they could do something cool in the heavy music scene with a vocalist in the mix. They're called Druids but they're not on myspace/facebook yet.

cheeky fucker ;D

Sounds cool! Could definitely use some processing and some things could be balanced a little better, but seriously not bad for as you call it untouched mix! All the instrument sources are sounding really really good. I do dislike the bass a little, i really dig gnarly sounding bassguitars and for this band a clean sounding bassguitar wouldn't fit. However i do think the distortion is a little overdone, if you have the DI's i'd suggest you dropped the distortion a little, well that's my opinion :)

Totally agree with you dude. I just need to automate one plug-in so its not so distorted on the less heavy parts. I like the way it grinds in the heavy bits though. Very happy so far and I'll be posting again tomorrow when I reamp the second guitars... Even heavier! :ill:

sorry dude - the band liked this track so much they want to do another 3 tracks! I told them to re-skin the kit and come better prepared so we'll be re-tracking this song and 2 others this week. I'll post again as soon as its been done! :kickass:
