Just take it to a tech to get the nut slots widened dude (or better yet, get a Graph-tech nut that matches the measurements, have him install it, and be in tuning bliss )
Eh, considering that I get 2-3 days of good sound out of Ernie Ball, 1-2 weeks of good sound out of D'addarios, and maybe a month of good tone out of Blue Steels... all at around $5-6 a pack... vs the $15 it costs for a set of Elixirs that last a year for me? Elixirs are really very cheap
thats why im pretty very satisfied with my pyramids, they last for about 1 month! of course the best sound you get out of them is day 1, but still i really got used to wiping the dirt and sweat from the strings after i play my axe,
and they sound pretty good after days and days of playing.
but of course for recording, a set of new strings per song is a must (if you need 1 day for 1 song like i do harar)
Most definitely, the Earvanas are just plastic so they don't offer any of the "self-lubricating" (really just super slippery cuz of the Teflon) benefits of the Black TUSQ XL nuts, and the luthier I take my stuff to says they're crap (and that the Graph-tech stuff is fantastic), so that's good enough for me

Yeah man, I bought mine because I was sick to fucking death of the high strings going flat when I did a big bend and then making that "plink" when I tuned them up (because the strings were getting pinched in the nut), and since getting the Graph-Tech it hasn't happened once Just be sure the measurements match up! (FWIW, I got this one for my Ibanez)
I'll vouch for graphtech. I have owned 2 Ibanez RGA's and one RG421 with the graphtech installed and it definately helps with tunign stability (that combined with locking tuners = rock solid)
i dont want to hijack the thread but Ernieball last twice as long as any d`adario set i ever used, and the tone is better ( maybe my pickups react better with EB) . I think there is something related to the "ph" sweat of my hands maybe?
Different people will have different reactions with strings, so that's not very helpful. I don't recall if there's enough variance in sweat pH to make much of a difference, but there are plenty of factors somewhere.
