Drop G# numetal, and the band want's tons of bass.

The bass level is perfect, do not drop it even 0.1 of a fucking decibel.
I swear so many people are TERRIFIED of putting some fucking bass in their mixes, or having maybe just a little too much, but those are the frequencies you FEEL the most. Fuck quiet bass. This is perfect.

The final mix wasn't as bassy as the example posted here. The guitars were raised a lot... and it sounds better too, IMO. Still lots of bass though, but a better balance with the guitars.
 
All I know is they're obsessed with Messugah. I stopped by while they were tracking this album. Their drummer's kick drum hurts to hear in person.

Haha, yeah you can definitely hear the Meshuggah influence on The Eternal Female... lower tuning, more groove riffs. Not sure why Brian called it numetal in the thread title... When I hear Meshuggah, I don't think numetal... but anyways, I dig their new sound. I hope there's still a good amount of melodic leads on the album too though.
