haha yeah they are a christian band, but you are still correct. I came home from dinner one night to find a band sacrificing a squirrel to Satan outside of my studio hahaha
thats a squirrel in the center

This is a plea for purging? I know they are christian, but this says "sell your soul sell your God"! and it says your God is dead! Christian?
"god" in those lines quoted above have a lowercase "g", which make all the difference.
It's about shady ass people trying to make $$ off God's name.
I guess that makes sense, but in a sense people listening to it like myself my take it the wrong way. But it sounds good though! Good job man!
Quick question to any one who feels like answering, When mastering a track how high is the fader for example fader is on 0.0Db and than apply plug ins to get it loud and all that jazz.
I did the mix a lot though, joey tracked everything your just mixing and mastering correct?
Sounds very very good man!
As others already said, a little more guitars and it will be awesome.
How do you eq the bass?
The master fader is definitely always at 0.0
Yeah joey tracked it all and edited most of it, and i edited vocals, mixed, and mastered.
the mix ended up being a good bit different from what i posted here, so i'll post a full song once the band puts a new song up on their myspace
Thanks for answering my question.
I am deff stoked to hear the final mix for sure.
But since i know you run pro tools on PC do you find yourself running into a lot of errors as far as crashing and stuff, I am running my pro tools set up with vista. I think you use XP correct? any problems over there with XP?
Just asking because i can't get a lot plug ins to work like gclip for example.
I do have occasional problems towards the end of finishing up some of my bigger sessions, although this is mainly because i'll have up to 5 or 6 songs in 1 session, but it's never been something i can't work around. I had absolutely no problems on this Plea mix though, other than 1 single crash. I assume this is because the songs were on individual sessions.
Why do you put same songs in the in one session? Mastering purposes or what?
just way quicker for me to mix songs consistently. I don't have to mess with importing tracks and busses.
Since most of the bands i record are unsigned and on a tight budget, my methods have developed into a time efficient workflow. This doesn't mean it's the best way to do it, just the fastest way(for me)[/QUOTE
I agree, with this actually. I know this is off subject a little, but how long does it take you to mix and full song of drums, like what is the most time efficent way to edit drums, I just use the quantize feature in pro tools, from over heads, than snare, than kick, than toms. takes a while any suggestions?
