Drudkh - The Swan Road

well, I'm not actually poor, it's just that I've come to the realization this year that college students working on deficits can't effectively run distros.

oh, and I believe that you want this:

I hear ya Erik. The new Drudkh TOTALLY reminds me of Astrofaes.....TOTALLY.

I know the drummer is in Lucifugum, Thurios from Astrofaes is in em, and I think the Hate Forest vocalist is the same as in Drudkh. Correct me if Im wrong.

1. Yes I hear the death metal in Battlefields, but it is hardly a pure death metal album

2. How one can compare an Emperor album to Battlefields is beyond me. They sound nothing alike. And anyway, I'm with Uno Incher on this one, no Emperor album competes with Battlefields. THere, I said it. And yes, Nightside is as overrated as AA.

What, you mean like Tori Amos and Anal Cunt? Er...they're both black metal. That's not enough? :tickled:

And yes, Nightside is as overrated as AA.

Still both works of brilliance, unless you're actually suggesting that they're poor albums.

Just curious, but for those who heard it, who didn't put Drudkh in their top 10 of last year? Sounds like people are falling into "out of sight, out of mind" flippance.

Poor? Not at all. But neither are they OH GAWDS BUY OR DUY albums either.

I put it at number 8 I think. It was just an immediate album for me, with little replay value. I'll throw it on every once in a while just to listen to SUnwheel, but that's probably it. Hell, I put Rune at #2 the year before, and I sold that album just recently. Some stuff just doesn't age well, I guess.

okay, here's what I did.

I took 3 Tentacles of Whorror LPs (my last) and one Melechesh 10" and traded it for 3 The Swan Road LPs and 1 Autumn Aurora LP. No purchasing involved. Naturally immediately I mentioned this to Marksveld and he says that he'll take one of my extras, and then Chromatose took the other. The Leviathan LPs are a North American press, so they can't get them easily, and the Drudkh is from Europe and therefore I can't get them easily. The dude at Faustian was psyched when I offered the trade and took it right away. I don't have $100 sitting around to buy 4 or 5 bunch of Drudkh LPs at wholesale, it was all a trade so I could get 4 for the $16 or so it cost me to ship them and some Leviathan LPs that I couldn't currently get rid of. Everyone wins.

So you wouldn't keep them in your collection? I would.

Well, others had it in the top 10 too. We even said that pretty much any album in a top 10 list is interchangeable, depending on the mood.

I don't think it's fair to say that AA is overrated based on what others think of it when you yourself had it in your top 10 list!!

If you don't have the $$ capital to buy upfront with hope for reselling, why not just take our pre-orders? Isn't that the same as a done deal?

I believe that's a phenomenon called "working on credit" and it is something I don't believe in.

(nevermind my student loans, that's a necessary evil)

Depends what someone offered me for them. Give me an original Mayhemic Truth and I'll gift wrap those two CDs for you.

Opinions change. Some albums lose their initial allure. AA is one such example.

Cool. I guess what we're saying is that if you allow pre-orders, we can give you the money UPFRONT (including cost of shipping, overhead etc), therefore allowing you to buy more albums with zero worry of having surplus stock sitting about not getting sold.

It's the prefect supply chain economy!

Okay. Let's make a deal... 4 Noltem tapes for the ass-sucking- but you HAVE to cover yourself in Pepto Bismal (not that fucking liquid shit, you're going to crush up the pill-form and mix it with water to form a delightful paste) and wear a blue dress.
