im looking to start recording my own stuff, and am curious to know wut most people track the drums on?, can someone help me out and tell me a program to which i can make the drums myself, than record guitar over, thanks...

Fruity Loops should do the job.

No... Use reason, they have a great drum module in the program. I found a torrent for it, and it took me a week to download, but torrents have pretty much gone to shit in the past 3 months, so you might look on Soulsuck, or DC++, or you could buy it.
