I want to get a trigger to replace/double my kick drum while recording but I don't care for using it live so I don't want to have to get a module. Can I just plug the trigger into my interface and then replace the hits later in logic?

In logic if your running logic 9 just press 'ctrl+D' this will open logic's drum replacer set your thresold and bingo, your on it.
This turns the audio into midi and use a sampler to play the sample.

If not you need to do it with drumagog, aptriga, trigger, etc

Alright, here's what I want to do. I want to record the trigger straight to the interface and then once it's in logic, convert it to midi(I already know how to comvert it) , then fix all the notes to the same note and velocity and then replace it with addictive drums. Can anyone confirm that this works?

I can confirm that there is plenty of resource on this forum that already confirms this, and the search function...as well as typing in key words and "Andy Sneap Forum" into a search engine...would have answered all these questions.
