I was front center, between your friend in the Opeth shirt and a French guy to start with, but I kept getting new neighbors throughout the show.

I fucking hope they do come back soon. That was the best gig I’ve ever been to.
 
What a happy looking bunch ;) I was outside drinking the whole time the supports were playing... There was a girl with blonde dready braids in front of me.....and a big fat guy as well, who sweated his whole quarter pounder and fries onto me...

lol i was that friend in the Opeth shirt, i got it from their tour when they came down here in April even though i didn't attend my brother got me a shirt.

Man, I could only afford two drinks! =[ Though I had downed a fair bit of vodka on the bus on the way down so it was all good. Didn't enter the mosh till the second support had finished.

Was the fat dude quite tall, long hair, jeans/white shirt? I know him! :lol:
 
HOLLY FUCK! Melbourne rocked last night. A big highlight was Micheal giving US(!) an Auusie Aussie Aussie chant, with the crowd returning with a huge OI OI OI. Such an awsome night, awsome show and awsome band. Got my DD and Character boocklets signed along with a little tour flyer and a few pics with the band afterwards!
This year will be a hard one to top!

ARGHHH!!!! FUCKING KILLER NIGHT LAST NIGHT! FUCK YEAH! Only downer was that i didnt want to take my poster or vinyls into the gig so i left them in a friend's car, and they left straight after the gig n all i had on my were my Character and Haven cd booklets so thats al i got signed! But i got a pic with Mike aswel! Fucking awsome bloke, i asked him to play Fabric next time though haha.

Fuckin sucked, we waited out the back of the venue for hours man then i walked around to the front and got told they had alrady went through the front door haha ah well.

NEBULOUS! DANIEL! YOU MAD CUNT! Thatwas fuckin weird man, i saw you when i was lining up, n im like "hey thats the Dan guy from megadeth, wait, e has a kreator tour shirt on, nahhh cant be nebulous" hahahah and it was! FUCK YEAH MAN!

haha also me and my mate made a bet, i bet they'd open with Treason Wall and he bet they'd open with New Build, and i bet they'd clse with Final Resistance and he said Damage Done, i won $20, but i wont take it coz i sorta cheated by looking at the set lists haha.

FUCKING HAILS TO YOU DARK TRANQUILLITY!! COME BACK SOON! Or i'll be in Europe mid next year to see you guys again! \m/
 
Haha, yeah. I had my Kreator shirt on like I said....waiting, looking at the "different" crowd as to what i had expected.
So did you see them at the back or not? Some dude asked them to play fabric there too...I would have assumed that to be you...
 
haha FABRIC!! they have to do it again one day, Mike said the last time they played that was like in Mexico in 2000, must have been for the Haven tour.

ARGH! i also forgot to mention, during the opening song The Treason Wall mike grabbed my hand and held onto it for fuckin ages!! hahaha was the best, when bands do stuff like that it makes then fans feel appreciated! Man i dont think i'll be going to work tonight haha.
 
Yeah that's awesome man. I got pushed back to the 3rd/4th row at one point, then Stanne came up to the front row and I was like "fuck this", pushed myself forward, and since I'm a pretty tall guy put my arm out over everyone, devil horns up, and he grabbed my form arm. :cool:

I don't care how gay it sounds!

Doesn't sound gay at all, believe me. I was in the second row, and later ended up getting pushed to the front practically, so I got many a handshake from the man himself. One hell of a night - in fact, I joined this forum just so I could comment, that's how mad it was. My ears are still ringing...
