yeah, stomping their feet. of course until everyone has that attitude nothing is ever going to change. it is the same sick mindset that drives parents and teachers all around the universe to say that if a child is bullied or ridiculed he should just ignore the bullies, and when said child grabs a gun and shoots everyone around, or sets fire to the school grounds, it's his fault and he needs to be seen by a doctor and by the cops. more prosaically, if the aggressor gets punched in the face the victim is lectured at length on the evil of violence and the incredible whatsoever to be gained from taking it silently or maybe reporting to the authorities who don't ever do nothing cos after all we're just talking school bullies and it's not serious. now, i see major moral flaws in there, and i tend to think that punishment should be on the offender, not the offended. here, much like any other time and circumstance, the offender gets away unscathed, and the offended gets ridiculed and reprimanded. i don't know what to make of this.

until this happy event comes to pass, those who bitch and moan about suffering from dire abuse on boards online will get their metaphorical ass kicked every thirty second. or at least that's what would happen in less caring and sensitive communities.

On a more serious note, maybe this supports the theory that people will just not get along ever, and all off-topic threads should be removed, and all on-topic threads VERY strictly moderated. Hmmm...the risks of arguements which in the long run mean nothing, or restricted and censored speech only on topics set by big brother. To be honest, I know which I would prefer.

This is totally ridiculous, it was harmless humour, my mum is a fine upstanding citizen but even she can laugh at stuff like this and she came from a very strict catholic background...
