No apologies needed JD. I believe a lot of flamers had come lately to disturb the mood of UMOS and step on people's toes.

I do apologize if I insulted anyone, and my apologies to Deron is things got out of hand.

As for the "mentally challenged" I just use the ignore list option. I rather have few and intelligent posts than to see UMOS turned in another M-R. I invite the old gang to do the same.

Good hint, I believe a lot of "mentally challenged" people came to flame this place. I know this is not a private club, but I also believe the old gang had take care of it pretty good for a long time. A lot of the newbies had prove themselves more than worthy to be here, but a lot are just brawlers without anything positive to add.
If we don't defend the quality of UMOS by ignoring an reporting these kind of people, we are going to suffer this martyrdom again.

Sixx made me earn my stripes when I joined...he gave me a hell of a hard time for not liking glam at all, and we went at it for a few rounds before he realized I was here because I wanted to be here, as opposed to being here just to talk shit.

Ha ha ha, Captain Sixx can be tough. Unfortunately he has had to deal with Lt. "Hippie Bryant" (hippie in a different kind of way as you know) and has mellowed out quite a bit lately. Of course I am joking..... to an extent. Sixx has an exterior made of made of titanium, but an interior of 24k gold.
Sixx keeps this place alive and deserves major kudos, but there are certainly a handful of regs here that keep this place going and many of those (including me) haven't been as active as need to be. You have been here for a pretty good while here too Marine and you need to give me a good cyber slap once in a while and make me post.


P.S. Don't slap me too hard though. In hand to hand combat, I think you would pretty much kill me (probably literally) but even at 36 years old, I am a former corrnerback and I will slap you harder and you can't catch me.

Then we'd have to go get a beer, we'd start telling stories about chicks from back in the day, and before you know it - we'd be shitfaces and passed out at the bar. Sounds like a good time to me...

Just remember guys the reason I like this forum so much is there is always intelligent discussions from the regulars and you guys are very knowledgeable. That's not to say some new guys won't join and add just as much to the conversations. Don't abandon this forum because you're being run our of your own home. If you have someone causing issues, by all means, let me know. I promise you I will handle it one way or another. I try to pop in when I can but I don't catch everything so it always helps to be notified.

Well I can truly say you also add to the great discussions from time to time. I know you are busy as well with Gen Mus because when I peep in there, my blood pressure goes off the charts after reading three or four posts. It is great to have you here as the bossman. You are doing what you can to keep this place and others in order and I for one, (as I am sure countless others are as well) am apprecitative. Are you going to PP this year ?

Ha ha ha yep I think you and I would get along just fine. Sounds just like what I would do (the bar stuff that is.) Don't get me wrong.... I am a tough guy. I was never blessed at being a good fighter offensively, but I was the type that would have to have the living schit and shinola beat out of me to give up. I won a lot of my fights because the other guy got worn out.

As far as the Vito thing goes. I LOOK LIKE HIM !! I have dark frizzy hair, big eyes and a big nose. Trust me when I say that has nothing to do with me liking him. He's even uglier than I am (and that's a tough task) but though I know you really are far from a fan of "hair metal" and I also know you are somewhat familiar with him, you might want to seriously check out some of his solos. He's not a super fast player that is extremely hard to play cleanly, but he did so much with so many of the notes he played, it was incredible. It is ashamed really he didn't do anything after White Lion split. The guy stood out (in my ears) even with the great shredders there was in the 80's.

Thats always been the beauty of this forum ... you can come here and actually have a sane conversation about a band and not have to worry about the "Thats gay, That sucks..." type remarks, and for a few years now we have run the place like this There are several of us that can remember this forum in the beginning .. hahaha well the beginning of this era of UMOS there sure was a hole lot of jerks in here but we weeded em out but lately there has been some negative forces at work which sometimes bothers me ... enough is enough sometimes ya know
